Each customer’s dog has his or her own individual kennel with cosy bed blankets. They can have their own outside covered exercise run which each dog has access to during the day and a larger grass area where we allow the dogs to get some additional exercise and, if they like other dogs, to make friends too.
Our dog boarding kennels are cleaned out daily and a fresh set of blankets provided. At the kennels we prefer to use our own bed blankets but you can bring your own if you wish, or bring a favourite toy for their stay. Fresh drinking water and food is given every morning and this is then topped up during the day. The dog kennels are in the shade at the hottest part of the day to keep the dogs cool during the summer months.
You are very welcome to view the kennels between the hours of 11.00am and 4.00pm weekdays and 11.00am and 1pm weekends. No appointment necessary.
All dogs boarding at Flushdyke Kennels must be fully innoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Para influenza, and must have had a booster injection within the previous twelve months.
CANINE INFECTIOUS BRONCHITIS (KENNEL COUGH)
We do not insist that you have your dog innoculated against canine infectious bronchitis. However, we strongly recommend the vaccination, We suggest you discuss this matter with your local veterinary surgeon. If you decide to have this innoculation, it must be done at least three weeks prior to arriving at the kennels.
We are pleased to give prescribed medication, at no extra charge, for your dogs stay at Flushdyke Kennels, all we ask is for you to provide a detailed schedule for the administration of the medication.
We provide food for the duration of your dogs stay and try to keep in stock as many varieties as possible. However, with the constant addition of new dog foods on the market, we are unable to stock them all so please check with us to see if we stock your dog’s favourite brand.
